Sarah Diaz was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. A rare, congenital heart defect where the right side of the heart is underdeveloped. This condition occurs in approximately 1 in 60,000 live births, and unfortunately Sarah was one of the affected. She is, however, continuously striving for a chance to live and overcome this hurdle. Sarah is now on the heart transplant list and we can’t wait for her to receive a new heart!

Sarah Díaz nació con Síndrome de Corazón Derecho Hipoplásico (HRHS). Un defecto cardíaco congénito poco común en el que el lado derecho del corazón está subdesarrollado. Esta afección se presenta en aproximadamente 1 de cada 60,000 nacimientos, y lamentablemente Sarah fue una de las afectadas. De todos modos, ella lucha constantemente por una oportunidad de vivir y superar este obstáculo. Sarah ya está en la lista de espera para un trasplante de corazón y ¡estamos esperando que reciba un nuevo corazón!
