This past week has been quite a journey. Sarah had her surgery that was meant to prepare her to go home soon, which included several procedures. Unfortunately, during the operation, some high-risk complications arose, and the surgery had to be cut short, sending her back to the ICU.

A special medical tool needed for her surgery had to be brought all the way from Japan, which arrived this past Monday. Sarah was then taken back into the OR, and while not all of the procedures could be completed, the team was able to finish the majority. Through this process, she was intubated and extubated a couple of times.

By God’s grace, Sarah has been recovering well and has now been moved out of the ICU and back to her regular room.

La semana pasada ha sido una experiencia muy intensa. Sarah se sometió a la cirugía que debía prepararla para volver a casa pronto, la cual incluyó varios procedimientos. Desafortunadamente, durante la operación surgieron algunas complicaciones de alto riesgo, por lo que la cirugía tuvo que acortarse, enviándola de nuevo a la UCI.

Un instrumento médico especial necesario para su cirugía tuvo que ser traído desde Japón, el cual llegó el lunes pasado. Sarah fue llevada de nuevo al quirófano y, aunque no se pudieron completar todos los procedimientos, el equipo logró completar la mayoría. Durante este proceso, fue intubada y extubada un par de veces.

Gracias a Dios, Sarah se ha estado recuperando bien y ya ha salido de la UCI y ha regresado a su habitación regular.
