“Turns out I’m having even more of an allergy issue with Cefepime than before.. not just itchy but starting to spread and get a rash even with all of the Benadryl, so they are taking me off of it and I’m starting Zosyn. I’m surprised though that the itchiness is lasting so long, my last dose was like 17 hours ago and I’m still itchy. Cefepime was 3 mins every 8 hours and Zosyn is 4 hours every 8 hours. I’ll be on home iv antibiotics for 13 hours a day now again. I think being off of the Benadryl will make me feel a little better too. This week I am doing a reflux consult for transplant evaluation, pulmonary rehab twice, pfts, and having a home health nurse come out twice, so it will be a busy week and I have another follow up appointment next week and Aiden’s 2 yr appointment and whatever shots are due”.
