What a miraculous journey we have been on since early Monday morning🙌🏻🙌🏻 The Lord has provided incredible medical teams here at Vanderbilt!! We are beyond grateful for Shafer’s surgeon, Dr. Shaffer, who put Shayli’s kidney inside our boy!! The Godwinks are too numerous to mention as our minds have been blown once again at THE GOODNESS OF GOD😭😭 Thank you for every call, text, card, gift, visit and all the prayers🙏🏻🙏🏻 You will never know this side of heaven what your love & support means to us!! Shafer has been making great strides as he now has his dialysis catheter, his foley & drain tube removed, & had his first shower today!! Shayli was discharged and is recovering at our rental condo close to the hospital, but is dealing with bouts of pain. We still have a long road to full recovery ahead, but things are certainly moving in that direction!
