Yesterday Doctors made their morning rounds. Everything so far has been very normal. Through the night she remained very sedated. They are now trying to balance the pain meds. Unfortunately they can’t take the pain completely away but they are trying to keep it managed. Goal for today is to get her to a lounge chair.

Shantel is in a lot more pain this morning. They have made a number of changes. They are trying very hard to find that perfect combination to make her comfortable. Everything is still going well and everyone here is very responsive to her complaints/requests. She’s unbelievably tough.

Physical therapy has just been here. They managed to get her to drop her legs off the side of the bed and sit for awhile. Considering this is only day 2, this is a huge step.
