Gaston County, North Carolina– A “Liver 4 Staphon”, will be held for COTA in honor of Staphon Peterson, a Gaston County-area child who needs a Liver transplant. The event is planned for Monday September 13th, at Athletic Development Systems (ADS 2601 Lowell Rd Gastonia, Nc). 18 year-old Staphon Peterson is listed for a Liver transplant at Duke Hospital in Durham. In addition, his father has been identified as a match to be a live donor and is scheduled for transplant on September 20, 2021. Funds are being raised in honor of Staphon to assist with transplant-related expenses.
