Make-A-Wish Disney World!!!

Dear Diary Entry #26- 6/12/24

We went on the Make- A- Wish Disney World trip! What an exhausting, hot and humid yet magical trip!

Make -A -Wish was so accommodating and generous. They provided flights, rental car, accommodations at Give Kids the World and some funds to use on our trip for things such as souvenirs, food for the park and whatever else we needed.

Give Kids the World is a non profit resort in Kissimmee, FL. We stayed in a villa which was like a house that had a kitchen, washer & dryer and all the necessary things. They provided breakfast, lunch & dinner and an ice cream place called Starlite Scoops that was open 7:30AM-9:30PM! We never went hungry! There is also a carousel, miniature golf, pools and other fun activities on site. There was a kids spa on site and the kids can get their hair braided, get hair extensions, nails painted and temporary tattoos. Sydney was able to make a star with her name on it and it is displayed in a place called Castle of Miracles. Every wish kid child gets a star and there are over 190,000 stars in the castle!

We were given 3 day park hopper tickets to Disneyworld, 2 days Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and 1 day Seaworld. If you’re not aware, there are 4 Disney parks. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom. We were able to check out all of the parks except Animal Kingdom! We had to forgo one of them since we were on a time crunch and wanted down time also. Ethan is a roller coaster fan and wanted to check out all of the coasters especially Seaworld. Ben, Sydney and I weren’t up for the crazy coasters so we saw the animal exhibits while he went on the coasters.

Sydney had a Make a Wish badge and when she showed it at the parks they treated us like VIPs! We had front row parking and we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes to go on rides at any of the parks. It was awesome!👏🏻

I am blown away at how much we got to do! I am also blown away of how spoiled we were and the kindness everyone showed us. It is truly emotional yet joyful. I was sad to leave. This trip was what we needed. Make a Wish & Give Kids the World made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything so we could enjoy our time. We are so grateful! Until next time Orlando!

P.S. I will be posting a reel for the theme parks and a reel for Give Kids the World soon. For now it is photo dump time!
