I am asking for much needed prayers and encouragement for my daughter Ariella Kimberly Brown. I took her to get her 4 months shots and physical … she was born with a high liver panel, which is why she stayed 4 more days in the hospital after she was born … I took her to the specialist and to her pediatrician, who told me, “stop treating her like a pin cushion, they take blood from her every time she goes see them to check her blood levels” so he said she may grow out of it … but she didn’t. He saw her eyes and her belly and told me to go to All Children’s Hospital asap. I did and they admitted her, did more blood work, then told me she has to be transferred to the liver hospital which is in Orlando.
My 4-month-old Princess Ariella’s liver has to get taken out and replaced due to BILIARY ATRESIA. There is no cure for biliary atresia. The main treatment is a surgery called the Kasai procedure. In this surgery, the surgeon removes the damaged bile ducts from outside the liver and replaces them with a piece of the patient’s small intestine. However, she needs a liver transplant, so we’ve partnered with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for assistance with transplant-related expenses. We are in Orlando at the Advent Health Children’s Hospital Room 2609
A SIMPLE PRAYER is a blessing for us ♥ Keep her in your prayers. She’s a soldier, she’s stronger than me and I’m grateful for that, my bundle of joy. Have a blessed day ♥
The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses.
