It has been a while since we’ve updated Brayden’s COTA page, so here it is.
Brayden tested positive for rhino virus a few hours before his transplant date on July 19th, 2023. Transplant was then CANCELED for a second time. We were devastated! We came back home that same day.
Not much has happened since then. Brayden has been quarantined for weeks and will remain quarentined until his NEW transplant date (September 27th, 2023). Brayden did have a big day on Tuesday, August 27th, 2023; it was his first day of home school. He was super excited and he did absolutely amazing. Brayden is very smart, I must say; and he loves learning new things.
Our COTA volunteers are also organizing and holding a burger benefit on September 18, 2023 for COTA in honor of Brayden Zorn.
For now we are just waiting on our sons BIG day (September 27th, 2023) when he will recieve his life saving kidney transplant from his amazing living donor, Sonya Carrier; hoping the third time will be the CHARM!
