hey everyone.
On September 27, 2023, Brayden was finally able to receive his new kidney from his living donor, Sonya Carrier. Brayden stayed in the hospital for two week after surgery. A few days before he was discharged, the social worker came to speak with us and explained that Brayden was picked to become a “make a wish” child. Brayden did absolutely amazing after surgery and recovered very well. After making countless trips back and forth to New Orleans for transplant clinic, Brayden was finally able to start big boy school at Charles Burke elementary. We are still going to New Orleans quite often to check on Brayden’s new Kidney, but things are finally starting to normalize back home with our kidney warrior.
