Home Sweet Home

We want to take a moment to thank every one of you – not only for your tremendous and tireless support since Caleb’s admission to Nationwide Children’s in May, but also over the past year and a half since the start of this journey for our family. Your incredible gifts to COTA in honor of Caleb, faithful blog reading, constant prayers and check-ins, dinner drop-offs and additional offers of help have deeply touched us and lifted us up on tough days. ALL of you have lovingly embraced us like family, and we are forever grateful.

Both Kevin and I are also amazed by the goodness and generosity in this Findlay community, which we have been richly blessed to call home for nearly 10 years. We could not have found a better place to start a family and grow lifelong friendships. God has worked miracles in our lives thanks to your prayers- and now, more than ever, we are acutely aware of our need to rely on His grace and provision rather than our own strength and capabilities. Looking back at the journey thus far, we see how God has lavished His abundant grace into what seems like an impossible situation- but He really has made all things possible.

We are thrilled to share that Caleb was able to come home on Saturday, July 24, after spending nearly 10 weeks in Columbus. The doctors were spot-on with the timeline, as we spent exactly six weeks full-time at the hospital and just shy of four weeks in a Ronald McDonald House suite (visiting the clinic for frequent appointments).
