Cali is little over 4 months, weighing 11 lbs, 22.8″ long, and 25 days post Transplant. She has made HUGE progress in the last few days and our little heart warrior continues to show her strength! She is currently only on ONE IV medication and on high flow cannula breathing support. She is finally on goal feeds of breast milk and is no longer on TPN or Lipids. They continue to wean the sedation very slowly and so far she’s having fewer withdrawal symptoms and seems to be more comfortable. She’s been such a little fighter since her transplant, and we’re finally seeing the progress we’ve been praying for. The doctors are really pleased with how she’s doing, and we’re taking it one step at a time.I’ve always known my baby girl was special, but watching her fight through a heart transplant and these severe withdrawals has shown me what true strength looks like. This tiny body has been through more than most people face in a lifetime, and yet she continues to amaze us every single day.We may still have a long ways to go before we come home as a family but today seems lighter. Thank you all for the love, prayers, and support — it truly means everything to us. Please keep cheering her on as she continues to heal.
