Our beautiful Cali is officially breathing room air and has no air support!!! She is still on (1) IV medication but plans of hopefully coming off of that tomorrow, as well as coming off the pacer.
Thanks to her improvements, we’re now preparing for her transition from the ICU to the step-down unit on Monday if everything goes well. This is a big and positive step forward in her healing journey, and we’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come. Once she is in the CCU, she will have another set of challenges to be able to transition to coming home and we are so ready for this next stage!
