Cali is little over 5 months old (3.5 months gestational age) weighing 12 lbs 4 oz, and 2 months post Transplant. Yesterday was a BIG day. Cali was FINALLY able to try a bottle!!! She only drank a few ml but it’s progress. Due to her being intubated and sedated for the majority of her life, she has to re-learn the coordination of eating. She also got her PICC line out and this is the first time she has no lines going into her body. 🎉The weaning of the medicine is still a challenge with the same withdrawal symptoms but this round of weaning was easier on her. We are hoping to put our focus, for now, on her eating by mouth each day.

Please continue to pray for Cali as she continues on this part of recovery and continue to cheer her on. We still do not have a discharge date but we are getting closer to our Cali coming.
