Hello Friends and Family of Cameron-
Today Cameron had his last final and finished his junior year at UW. And what a year it has been! He is feeling really great and I can hear it in his voice every time we talk. Our family and Alison’s family spent Memorial weekend together and went back to where it all started, a Mariners Game! It was a treat to spend quality family time together celebrating both of them and their health. In fact, Cameron is doing so well, the transplant team said he doesn’t need to come back to see them until October, when it will be the one year mark. Same for Alison – Just Amazing! He does continue to see his regular Nephrologist every other month to monitor his lab work, medications, and kidney health. Taking the multitude of meds is now just part of his routine as he goes about daily life. There are still adjustments during this first year as his new kidney adapts to his body. It’s just incredible to see where he is now compared to last summer.
Presently, Cameron will be busy working at a part time undergrad research job and is also part of a capstone startup project for a new medical device on the design and engineering team – mind blowing! He will make a few trips home this summer so hopefully you will get a chance to see his smiling face out on the golf course or down at the river. We continue to feel all your good vibes, prayers and love coming our way. Thank you for being part of our miracle!!
