18 months post transplant!

Hello Friends and Family and Fellow Kidney advocates.

Today marks 18 months since Alison gifted Cameron her perfect kidney. Time is flying and I wanted to share an update. Cameron continues to have an amazing, improved life with his new kidney. There have been a couple challenges but his team at UW Medical center is so knowledgeable and caring that these hiccups are not too concerning. They adjust his medications and perform tests to monitor his health often – it’s all part of his expert care to keep this beautiful kidney functioning well. This is all reassuring so he can focus on life and college. He finishes finals for the quarter this week and will get to enjoy Spring Break. He was recently accepted to a couple different graduate school programs so plans for the next phase begin. Graduation is on track this June and he just amazes me with his accomplishments. His Capstone project won an award recently and he has an internship lined up for this summer already. God is so good! I know many of you still have our family in your prayers and we are so very thankful.

It’s fitting that this milestone falls during National Kidney Month. Please take care of your kidney health and take in the time to learn about being an organ donor.
