Hello all friends and family-
Cameron finished winter quarter last week and is now on a well-deserved Spring Break. He had a full load of classes, worked one day a week in his UW research position, is a busy member of the UW Robotics Team which meets 3x per week and even took a 5 week pottery course all while keeping up on his doctor and lab appointments and managing his daily medications. This is how Cameron likes to be – BUSY, and it’s all made possible by our dear friend Alison.
The last few weeks have been full of good news. Cameron had a biopsy of his new kidney in February. He was able to be awake for this procedure and watched on the screen as they took the sample. We met with his doctor the next week and even saw pictures of the cells. The best part is that the report states there is no sign of rejection! The first year post transplant is the most important as his new kidney grows to fit him. His appointment and labs last week show just that – his kidney is adjusting to his body size and keeping up!
We continue to be grateful to you ALL for the blessings and prayers that come ours and Alison’s way. Our next big milestone comes in April which will be six months!
Much love, Nancy
