On December 5, 2024, Colin received a dual kidney and liver transplant from a deceased donor. He was discharged 8 days later and now we are in the rollercoaster of post-transplant life. This means lots of monitoring – daily labwork, twice a day blood pressure checks, tweaking of medications (there are 13). In general things are going ok, Nebraska Medicine in Omaha is trying to stay ahead of any issues by monitoring him very closely. We are not out of the woods yet by any means.

Because we will be down here at least through the end of the year, we are so grateful for the funds raised by our community of supporters for COTA for Team Colin! Thanks to COTA funds, we don’t have to worry about how we’re going to afford maintaining a temporary second household down in Omaha.
