We live in an amazing community!  Sean, Colin, and I are very humbled at the amount of money that has been raised in such a short amount of time.  The amount of support everyone has shown is overwhelming, so we wanted to say thank you.  As we get ready for yet another trip to Sioux Falls, for what is becoming a routine outpatient procedure for Colin, it’s so comforting to know that COTA will help with our travel expenses and our portion of the medical bills.  I have good insurance, but that out of pocket expense adds up quickly.  I was stressing about a $4000 bill but then remembered I can get help with that from COTA.  I tell you this only so you are assured that your donations go directly to transplant-related expenses.

 

 

On the medical front, we’ve been told by University of Minnesota that Colin has had an unusually high amount of young, healthy potential donors and they are feeling very positive about finding a solid match.  This is again a testament to our community and circle of acquaintances that are so selfless that they are willing to give up a kidney.  We promise to keep you posted on any progress!  Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers, and “good vibes “ being sent our way.  We truly believe they are helping.  Colin’s lab work and general health is holding steady, which buys us time to find that one awesome match!

 

 

Lastly, we want to give a shout-out to our amazing team of volunteers – Angie, Betty, Kim, and Jordan.  I am completely in awe of what the 4 of you have accomplished in such a short amount of time!
