The 10+10+10 Event will be held for COTA in honor of Daniel Smith, a Little Rock, Arkansas-area young adult who is in need of a heart transplant. The event is planned to start Monday February 26th, and will be a Direct Email/Social Media event. 18-year-old Daniel is listed for an Open Heart Transplant at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Funds are being raised for COTA in honor of Daniel Smith to assist with transplant-related expenses.

Daniel understands the potential of families and friends working together for the good of others. There is no cost to this event but family and friends are encouraged to participate in the way they feel comfortable.

     1. Participants are encouraged to go to the COTA website (www.COTAforTeamDanielS.com)           and place a $10 donation that is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
     2. Email directly 10 family members and friends that are close to you and challenge them to             go to the COTA site and do the same.
     3. We know not everyone may be able to afford to donate but everyone can share the email             and direct media sites to inform 10 others of COTA’s commitment to help transplant                     patients and families like Daniel.

Local volunteers are hoping to raise an estimated $75,000.00 for COTA in honor of Daniel Smith to assist with transplant-related expenses throughout his lifetime. The family and friends of Daniel want to encourage everyone to play a part in our 10+10+10 Event and help give Daniel a chance to serve others in the future. Daniel’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
