Hello Team Ethan friends and family!

We are hosting our first fundraiser on behalf of COTA for Team Ethan, and hope you will join us! Ethan is all about good food, and he loves tacos! When we asked Elaine what Ethan’s favorite restaurants are, Chipotle was first on the list, so we knew it would be the perfect place to kick off COTA for Team Ethan.

As you know, Ethan needs a life-saving heart transplant. We have been working with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise a goal of $50,000 in honor of Ethan to assist with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses. So far, we are proud to share that we have raised $6,000 of that goal!

Transplant costs vary based on many factors, but a transplant generally costs between $250,000 and $800,000 — not including lodging, food and transportation during the transplant stay — and no insurance plan covers it all. Ethan’s transplant related expenses won’t disappear after his heart transplant. Thankfully, COTA funds will be available for the rest of his life to bridge those financial gaps.
