Thanks and Peace

Psalm 107:1 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Philippians 4:7 “ And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This morning I am thankful. I am thankful that Jesus died for my sins on the cross so I can have a peace in my heart about life and death. I am thankful that even though His word didn’t promise this life in a fallen world would be an easy one, He does promise He is with us through all of it. The peace that comes from God doesn’t make sense sometimes. Like when I find out my teenage son needs a kidney transplant and I just can’t explain the calm. Don’t get me wrong. It’s been a lot. A lot of information. A lot of conversations. A lot of prayer and a lot of decisions. But also A lot of peace. That I can only explain through Him.

And the devil will try to steal it FOR SURE. He will find things you weren’t expecting to be worried about and suddenly anxious thoughts and fear creep in. BUT God is so good and we have the power to tell the Devil will in Hell he can go.

Thank you Jesus for your blood applied so I can have an unexplained peace about my son needing a Kidney Transplant.
