Quick mid-November update

Freya has had a number of odd symptoms pop up in the last month which we have contacted her transplant team about. Just a few of the more recent concerning changes we’ve noticed: a sudden lack of appetite, more prominent veins down her right side and on her abdomen, increasing GI issues, some lingering bloating that isn’t resolved by her current diuretic dosage, and looking a bit jaundiced within the last few days. I’ve also noticed that she is more cranky than usual and cries out in pain some nights. My best guess is that she might have a blockage somewhere backing up her bile flow.

So, we will head down to Orlando on Tuesday evening to prepare for her early morning labs, a transplant ultrasound, and a visit with her transplant team on Wednesday morning.

We have known that this is not a static disease and to expect that things will advance eventually. I’m praying that an adjustment in medication is enough to slow down or treat whatever might be going on right now. We will update as soon as we have more answers. Please keep our little warrior in your prayers!
xx
