You Did It!!!!!

Oh, all of you wonderful people…I feel almost like I should be standing here, with a small golden man in my hand, thanking all of you that have made this possible – its a long list!!!

There were 166 of you that are listed as having donated towards COTA for Team Isaac, but I know that number represents even more people than that. Thank you to you generous people that have taken it upon yourselves to raise money in so many creative ways – basketball games, t-shirt campaigns, New Year’s Eve parties, school dances…I wish I had emojis right now to show you all of the happy, overwhelmed feelings we have about this! I’m sure theres others I’m not even aware of as well. Thank you for being a village that has lifted us in many many ways!

Originally, we were told that Isaac was declining rapidly, and we could see it. Our trampoline bouncing, speedy running boy just wanted to sit in bed all day and sleep and throw up…we thought we would be starting dialysis in January and needed to find a donor FAST… I am very happy to say that Isaac has stabilized a bit, and we continue to be able to hold off of dialysis while we wait! The timing of this all has definitely thrown us for a loop. I had mentally preparted to be in Ohio from mid-January until July, and here it is…March. There are hints of springtime in the air, we have been able to get outside once again, and Isaac is happy as all of our backyard bugs are starting to wake up… I am very unsure of how the rest of this year will play out, but it, as always, will probably not be what I had planned for 😛

I suppose we could get a call any day now, so I have a quick little go bag ready, and my phone relatively close by. I will post on all the social medias and make sure you all know about it, but until then, we will just keep soaking up these little bits of the spring feels while we wait.

ALSO: I’m not sure if anyone reading this has inquired about being a donor for Isaac, or is currently being tested, or was tested and ended up not being eligible to donate…I don’t get a lot of information about where the process is at or who you all are. From what I understand, it sounds like we might have had a donor that didn’t end up working out, and another one is being tested currently. If you are any one of those people, I want to say thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts. I wish we could surround you with the biggest of hugs and say we appreciate so much every minute you spent on the phone and getting labs and all sorts of testing done on Isaac’s behalf. I know he doesn’t understand the magnitude of what you are doing for him right now, but I hope that someday he will!!

Okay. Thats all before I start to cry now. Hopefully I have real news for you all soon.

P.S. Photo above is from yesterday. Isaacs school did a ‘Wear your team Isaac shirt to school’ day. It was so special. We all repped ours all yesterday as well 🙂
