On the morning of Monday, October 14th, the Weaver family was informed that a liver was available for Isaiah. They scheduled his highly anticipated liver transplant surgery for 7pm that evening.
Isaiah spent several days in the ICU with minor complications like excessive blood clots and discomfort related to the surgery.
Last week we had a life-threatening scare with internal bleeding, and he had to return to surgery.
After mass blood transfusions and surgery everything seemed to properly heal with no signs as to where the bleeding came from.
We are happy to report that this week Isaiah is progressing nicely! Isaiah’s pain was immense but now he has greatly improved.
The surgery caused his progress to sort of restart, but he is moving around way better than anyone anticipated.
To help the Weaver family, consider donating to COTA in honor of Team Isaiah to assist with transplant-related expenses.
