2 Years since Jason’s heart day!

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone has been happy and healthy. I guess I have been slipping yet again on my monthly posting goal. It is hard to keep up with such a busy little boy.

We honored Jason’s heart day a couple weeks ago and we were able to give a gift basket to another little warrior who was in the hospital almost 6 months before getting their gift of a heart. As always we pray for our donor family and all families who make the decision to give the gift of life to someone else. We are so grateful we can watch our little man grow and develop.

Our little guy has had a great check up when we see our transplant team every 2 months. We are no longer putting nutrition into his g tube, although we have to do water through his tube to help his kidneys recover from his heart cath. But his heart and kidneys are doing really well.

Jason has grown a lot in the last few months he is turning into a little boy and every day my baby seems to learn and grow. He loves all things truck, dirt, and mud. Summer has allowed us to do a lot of water play including doing the shark sprayer on the slide, and water balloons on the trampoline which turns into playing in the mud underneath. Jason surprises us with new things every day and watching him grow and learn is the best part of it. We have really had to watch what we say around him too because he is a little parrot. We love our little guy and can’t wait for each morning to come for new adventures.

We thank everyone for all of your love and support and for following Jason’s story.
