New Heart – Day 17

Sorry for not updating as frequently lately.  I have really been enjoying being at home with my family.  We have been playing a lot of Euchre, Pinochle, and Cribbage.  We also have been enjoying some good family TV time at night.

I visited CHOP again yesterday and they said that the fluid around my heart is not rejection, so that was a big relief.  It is either just part of my healing process or it could be due to my kidneys not doing what they need to.  I have more testing next week on Tuesday & Wednesday and will know more then, but for now, they took me off the mediation that I was prescribed due to their concern.  That is good!

My mom and I stopped by the Gift of Life House yesterday while in Philadelphia and found that it is now in the containment zone that the National Guard is now protecting.  It is a good thing I left when I did!
