Day 23 – More Testing Results and Exercise!

I spent the last 2 days back in Philidelphia for another heart cath, biopsy, and other heart testing.  The good news it that ALL of the tests came back excellent – there are no signs of heart rejection at this point.  The fluid they found around the heart is part of the heart integration process.  I am SO very thankful that it is working well.

I have taken over the responsibility for my meds and have been doing a good job of it so far.  Before this, I would rely on my mom to remind me to take my pills.  Most heart transplants that don’t go well are because of the patient missing their medications.  Twice a day, EVERY day.

I have also started exercising a bit to get back into shape.  Below is a picture of me on our treadmill this morning.  I was able to walk 1/4 mile at a 3.8 mph pace – not very good, but that was all I could do.  I will get stronger with time!
