March 10, 2025 – Let’s get real…. Post-transplant recovery is TOUGH! While we are thrilled with the overall transplant and that Ken is showing no signs of rejection, the reality of recovery is setting in. Overall body pains, pain at the incision site, difficulty with mobility, trouble sleeping, high sugar levels, spells of shaking, and lots of other medical things (I’ll spare you the details). Ken’s pain level has steadily been a 7 out of 10 the past few days. We know that in the long run, we will get past this and he’ll be on to a better life!!! Please just pray that he can get more comfortable soon!
