March 8, 2025 – We are so thankful for Dr. Ravindra and his team at Duke, and to the donor’s family for saving Ken’s life. There have been ups, downs, tears of joy and tears in pain. Recovery is hard, but Ken’s doing a great job. He walked 400 feet with the use of a walker today! He continues to rely on pain medication (we’ve learned the hard way that we have to stay ahead of the pain), and is taking his regular antirejection medication as well as lots of antibiotics. Tonight’s agenda is to route for Duke in the UNC/Duke basketball game!!!
