Two things to celebrate on this rainy Monday…
#1 – We made it to Pulmonary Rehab ON TIME!!! For those that know us well know how great of a feat this is.
#2 – Ryan had his first post transplant lung function test (PFT). Prior to transplant his lung function was 19% (with only 1 lung functioning at 8%). I about cried when they told us he is at 64% TODAY!!! The Doctors tell us this will continue to go up as he recovers over the next year. He will be repeating this test weekly and any decline will be our first sign of infection or rejection.
So today is a HAPPY MONDAY and we hope this good news helps you feel better on this otherwise wet and dreary Monday.

Once again, Ryan and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support, encouragement and love we have received.
We want to thank everyone who attended the last three Team Ryan events. We especially want to give a HUGE shout out to the individuals and businesses who organized these events! We appreciate you and all that you do. We know wouldn’t be where we are at today without all of your support. Thank you for opening your hearts and your doors to us. Your kindness means everything to Ryan and I.
Thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough… Quality Brands of Omaha Scratchtown Brewing Company Cunningham’s Pub and Grill Tyler Krecklow and Sarah Krecklow

We have so many things and so many people to be thankful for this year. Here are just a few..
First and foremost, we are thankful for the gift of life. We are holding Ryan’s organ donor and the donor’s family close in our hearts today as we know this is the first holiday without their loved one. We will forever be grateful and appreciative of the decision they made and for them we give thanks everyday. Because of them we are here today and will be here many more tomorrows as family.
We are thankful for all of the support we have received during this difficult, emotional and amazing journey. There have been several of our friends and family who have checked on us daily regardless of what they are dealing with in their personal life. You never let my lack responses from constant distractions keep you from letting us know how much you care. We love you.
We are thankful for both our CF and Transplant care team. From 6 weeks old to 8 weeks post transplant you have never stopped fighting for my husband. We have the privilege to call you family.
