Hi Team Shae! Summer has come to a close as Shae started his Senior year of high school today. He has had a couple of checkups this summer with the Transplant Team and everything is still going well. He will have another biopsy in November. So far his voice is still going strong after the injection in March. We will follow up if he starts to lose his voice again.
Shae started off his summer going to Church camp in Point Loma, California with many of his good friends. He has an amazing group of friends that attended camp together. We took a short trip to Huntington Beach last week so he could go in the ocean (66 degrees) and do some boogie boarding. He biked around the town and just had some time to relax and enjoy the cooler weather (73 degrees). He can’t go in lakes or rivers, which is why we took him to the ocean. He attended the Logic concert (his first rap concert experience) and also saw Morgan Wallen with one of his good friends. Shae has enjoyed getting out and doing some new things and is looking forward to doing more in the future!
Shae has decided not to play football his senior season. He decided to focus on his recovery and getting his strength back. We are humbled by the support of our Puma Football family and are forever grateful for the love they have shown our family.
For those of you who are asking for the tshirt link, we will have another one here soon! Thank you all for your continuing support and love for COTA for Team Shae! We couldn’t do it without all of you!
