Surgery took about 10 hours.  The liver surgeon said it couldn’t have gone better and the organs were in great shape.  Turns out both liver surgeons are husband and wife.  Maddox is in the ICU and will probably spend 2 weeks at the UCSF hospital – then 2 months in SF with daily hospital visits.

The family “team” were all allowed to see Maddox in the ICU last night and going forward as he begins his Immunosuppression and anti-rejection therapy only Erica and Chris will be allowed to visit.

The hospital team have been outstanding!!!
