Winston is discharged from the hospital!

We finally have gotten word that Winston was discharged from the hospital yesterday! Praise God! All of his liver functions are working great and all other health vitals are good. The most immediate transition need is the ability to balance his nutritional needs and intake volume with his appetite, which is a new thing for him that we all take for granted with proper liver and body functions. Winston and parents will now live in the newly-renovated, original Ronald McDonald House in San Antonio which is near the hospital (there is another House a block away that they had utilized in prior pre-surgery visits). He will have several ongoing testing requirements each week to monitor his recovery progress. The medical staff alerted the parents before the discharge that it is common and normal for pediatric transplant patients to have minor concerns that may require an observation hospitalization for an overnight or two during the next 4-6 weeks. So, Winston must definitely stay in this area before being able to return to their Dallas area home. The family thanks you for your prayer and financial support! It is much appreciated.

Megan continues to recover well with no complications!

God is good!
