Our Story

Hi! My name is Anthony Harrison. Before summer, I started having terrible neck pain, and my mom took me to the doctor so many times. I eventually got better for a few months. Then, I got baptized at the church I love, Greenville First. My Pastor Josh baptized me and my twin brother Aidan on July 5th. A few weeks later, my brother and I went to summer camp with the youth group from our church. I was having a hard time with the pain, but I was still able to enjoy myself. When I came home, my mom took me to see my doctor right away. I had an X-ray and blood work done that Friday. Monday morning, the doctor called my mom and said everything was okay. Then, at 3 PM, she called my mom back and told her to come get me and take me to the ER right away. My mom did exactly what she was supposed to do. I spent five days in the hospital. After that, I was discharged because the doctors weren’t sure what was wrong and couldn’t figure out what was causing my symptoms. It took about two or three months before the doctors finally diagnosed me. On September 3rd, I was diagnosed with AML leukemia. Since then, I have been fighting with all my strength and with Jesus by my side.

Unfortunately, I now need a bone marrow transplant. When we find a donor, we will have to stay at a hospital about four hours away from my home for 100 days, away from my family and friends.

If you can, please donate to COTA for Thonynho to help me through this journey!

I know I’m going to win because I’m strong with Jesus! Like David, I will overcome this battle, and one day I’m going to visit different churches and tell everyone my testimony! Amen! 🙏 Thank you all so much for helping me, rallying around me, and praying for me.

Thonynho! ❤️
