On February 12th, Tj’s blood sugar had remained in normal ranges. His bowels are moving a lot. Tj’s intestines are not used to having this amount of feed running at such a high rate. The hole that was in his G-J tube before it was replaced was allowing a good portion of his feed to go into his stomach and a small amount directly into the stomach. Valium has been very helpful with the cramping and spasms. Tj had an amazing day with both PT and OT. He is getting stronger every day. Tj was able to eat more today than the day before. We finally found a good pain regimen that has been keeping him comfortable. We are hopeful that he can be discharged to the Ronald Mcdonald house tomorrow. Alesha (Tj’s mom) is excited and nervous all at the same time. The hospital is only like 5 feet away so that makes her a lot more confident. The doctors gave us numbers for their direct team. GO TJ GO!!!
