Taylor did it! After about 12 hours of not seeing our girly, she is out of surgery and all went well. Taylor’s surgeon came out and explained her pancreas was crumbly and styrofoam like. It was definitely time for it to be removed. Also we were hoping for approx 290k islet cells and they were able to get about 320k islet cells!

Taylor did really well throughout the night and woke up this morning a little feisty, chatting us all up and telling us her NG tube needed to come out or she’d do it herself 🤦🏻‍♀️

We are waiting in the drs to make rounds but the plan is to help get her up today and keep her in good spirits.
