Honoring and Remembering our Nation’s Fallen

Yesterday marked another Memorial Day during which we strive to remember the sacrifices made by those who gave all for our country.  I am proud to be an active volunteer for Carry the Load (carrytheload.org) for many years which works to preserve the sanctity of this day.  Last year Trinity was also able to volunteer with me, working at the Carry the Load Information Booth over the Memorial Day Weekend.  This year she had planned to volunteer on Monday, but unfortunately, due to the terrible inclement weather that came through late on Sunday night in Dallas, the Monday event was cancelled, and Trinity was not able to support this year’s event in person.  However, I wanted to share with you a picture of her from last year’s event when she did volunteer.  We hope you’ll know that no matter how good or bad you’re feeling, you’ll try to commemorate Memorial Day every year.  –Sandy (Big Sister)
