Troy received the lifesaving gift of a new liver on May 25th 2023. After that successful procedure, Troy recovered at an amazing pace thanks to the care of the staff at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. June 2nd, eight days post-transplant, Troy was able to come home. Troy’s very suppressed immune system keeps his activities very limited. Even with these limitations, Troy has kept a great spirit throughout the process. Because of this experience, Troy may have a future in Professional Gaming or Lego Building. We are all very excited for Troy to be home.
Please stay tuned as we will be sharing with you more about his journey and special people that have helped him heal and recover. We will also be sharing future milestones as he continues to grow stronger and is able to get back to the activities he enjoys. Events are being planned to celebrate Troy and continue to raise money for his lifelong medical expenses.
