Today we had Tyler’s zoom follow-up appointment with his heart transplant team. We found out that they have had many heart donor offers for him but, are waiting on the perfect one for him so they don’t have a “magical date” for him but they said to be ready because he could be going quickly. They told us that we will be having monthly appointments with them from now on. Some will be done by zoom others will be in their office in Phoenix or they will use his follow-up appointments with his regular cardiologist here in Tucson as part of the follow-up with them. They went over his 30 day holter monitor with us and said he was having PVC’s and high heart rates so they are going to look further into that to see if they need to do anything further. We were told that he’ll most likely have to do another 30 day holter monitor in couple of months. Right now we are trying to keep everything as normal as possible for Tyler and also keep him as acttive as he can tolerate so he is not sitting all the time. It is hard waiting for that special call and watching him feel miserable everyday and wearing his oxygen all the time.
