We received unexpected news we are currently navigating through. Vanessa has received multiple infusion treatments at Phoenix Children’s hospital in the last couple months as well as new medication to help protect the health of the kidney. We are looking forward to her next kidney biopsy at the end of the month to see how well her kidney is doing and how well she has responded to these treatments. 

She continues to work hard with her feeding therapy and is making great progress!  Vanessa was referred for an evaluation for the Intensive Feeding Therapy program at PCH, which was a huge step.  It is the only program of its kind in the state of Arizona who helps children like Vanessa who are dependent on a feeding tube wean off their tube feedings. This evaluation will determine if she is ready to begin the program. We look forward to hearing the outcome of the evaluation next week. Her favorite food right now is vanilla and strawberry yogurt.

Vanessa had her first basketball class and had a blast!
