Hello everyone, I am so happy to say that Waylon got his heart transplant!! His mom got the phone call on April 7th a little after 7AM, later that day, around 6PM, they took him back for surgery. They were able to see Waylon around 4AM on April 8th. Thankfully there were only a few ups and downs throughout his healing process, one of which being a blood clot behind his heart which caused him to be on a ventilator. They had to reopen his chest to do a wash out, after they did that he was able to come off of the ventilator. He was moved out of the ICU and into a regular room on May 1st. Waylon finally came home on June 17th and has been doing absolutely amazing. He loves his big brother, Wesley. He finds their family dogs hilarious and loves when they lick him. He is constantly moving around and playing with everything, he likes trying to walk everywhere. Waylon is the just sweetest, funniest, and most handsome little boy. If it wasn’t for all the organ donors Waylon would not be where he is today, thank you so very much!
