As we enter day six of Zach’s recovery, we’re grateful that each day brings renewed hope and healing.

Last night, Zach was able to get nearly a full night’s rest — something he truly needed. The medical team has already removed several medications and his catheter. He’s drinking fluids and was steady on his feet for several minutes before sitting down in his chair.

Today, Zach has been more alert and talkative than at any point since his transplant. We’re hopeful he’ll be moved out of the ICU tomorrow.
