Bloomington, Indiana — June 10, 2019 — The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) will host its 6th Annual Miracle Maker Celebration on Saturday evening, June 22nd at the SILO Auto Club & Conservancy in Indianapolis. This year’s event will recognize and honor the many contributions provided by more than 200,000 Miracle Makers (volunteers and supporters) nationwide.

COTA is a national charity dedicated to helping families of children and young adults who need life-saving transplants. Each year COTA works with thousands of Miracle Makers across the country to organize fundraising activities and organ/tissue donor awareness events. “The 2019 Miracle Maker Celebration recognizes our nationwide network of volunteers and contributors who day in and day out make a life-saving difference for our transplant families,” said Rick Lofgren, COTA’s President. “Thanks to more than three decades of support from our Miracle Makers, COTA is able to give transplant families hope for a brighter tomorrow.”

At this year’s event, COTA’s 2019 George Taliaferro Miracle Maker Award will be presented to Nick Lynum. According to Lofgren, “Nick’s commitment to COTA kids, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit and his love of family, are why he has been selected to be our George Taliaferro Miracle Maker of the Year.”

This year’s event emcee will be Angela Cain who is a former Indianapolis television news anchor. Angela is an Emmy award-winning, former news anchor and reporter who regularly blogs and produces other digital content about issues that matter most to audiences nationwide.
