Hey Guys…It has been just over 1 week since Alicia received her new lungs and guess what?  These Lungs are Breathing!!!  Have things been rough? Yes it has, but there has also been many victories as well!  Alicia has been able still sit up in a chair and on the side of the bed!  She has been up and walking a few laps a day around the hospital floor and yesterday, she was moved out of the CICU and into the PICU!  Praise God for all the steps forward, big or small!  

  With all the COVID-19 changes happening and a stay at home order in place. We have had to postpone all of our fundraising fundraising events for now.  Because of that Tiffanie Thorpe sent out a challenge for all of the Alicia Supporters on Social Media. The challenge was to get a $25 dollar donation to COTA in Honor of Alicia from 100 people in a 1 week period.  You guys are blowing this challenge out of the water!  So far we have had 110 donors and raised an amazing $7285 in the 48 hours! Wow!!! That brings the totals up to over $47K!  We are praying that COVID-19 slows down and the quarantine can be lifted and the rules will change.  Right now Joe and Crissie are living in the hospital and can not leave until the day Alicia is released or the quarantine is lifted.  This has been hard on them, emotionally, physically and financially.  Please continue to pray for them!  They are being so strong for Alicia, encouraging her and loving on her,  but they are deeply missing their other children like crazy! Continue to pray for Alicia!  Specifically pray for pain control, for deep breaths in her lungs and for big coughs!  Also pray for her kidney functions as some of the medications she is on to help her body not reject her new lungs can be hard on her kidneys! These are medications she will have to take for the rest of her life.  Pray for more steps forward in her journey, even if they are small! Every step forward is progress!
