Bexley did great in her procedure and well overnight. Today, we are learning about and adjusting to her new drain she will need to wear for a while. Her labs were more elevated this morning, but the team said that is to be expected with what she had done yesterday. We should have some very preliminary results from the biopsy today, so keep praying! I don’t know how long we will be in the hospital for sure, but they want to keep monitoring her closely, which I appreciate. We are just missing being at home and together. After we do go home with the drain, we will have to watch Bex closely. We will be doing flushes and dressing changes. All new things, but we will get the hang of it. If her temperature goes up, even the slightest the surgeon said, we will need to get in the car right away and drive here. Keep praying for no infection, rejection, or complications.
Bex made the Duke’s Children’s IG page after Kendra Scott’s team came and made jewelry with her. I thought it was pretty cool she offers this and will be a @officialkendrascott fan for life! Bex made her, Selah, and me matching jewelry!
