This cookbook started out as a simple tribute to my redheaded freckled Charleston boy.

He loves Shirley Temples, Shrimp and Grits, She-crab soup, the ocean, anything with bacon, his dog, and his best-friends.

This book started out as a few of his favorite things and then morphed into a life of its own, but I hope you enjoy the twists and turns as we added a few adult friendly things here and there.

– Elizabeth Lowndes

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association or COTA is supporting Connor’s Journey to receive a new heart and liver transplant. Connor was born with hypo plastic left heart syndrome, which means only the right half of his heart works. After a near death scare in November of 2020, it became clear that Connor needed a new heart. He has been attached to a medicine drip to maintain a somewhat normal life, but the medicine has caused his liver to be damaged. He is currently on the long waiting list for a heart and liver whenever an organ becomes available.

By purchasing this cookbook, you will be donating towards COTA for Connor’s Journey. You can also get your cooking with Connor apron, here.

Ordering your cookbook is easy – simply fill out the order form below, then click on the “Donate” button beside the red thermometer above.
