The lead surgeon just called us with a positive update. They have removed the tumor and have begun vessel reconstruction. The donor liver is in great condition and the actual transplant will occur soon. The doctor also said Dylan is doing well.

The many hours it has taken to get to this point is likely due to the complexity of the tumor removal. We don’t know any other details yet, but the surgeon sounded upbeat on the phone. There were lots of tears and hugs when we got this update.
