Ethan’s family got the call late last night, they’ve found a match for Ethan’s kidney transplant! They made it to Children’s Hospital last night right around midnight. So far, there hasn’t been a lot of action, but they’ve done blood work and x-rays and will continue to prep Ethan for his transplant operation, which is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. today. Please, keep everyone in your prayers. Ethan is very nervous, which is to be expected, but he’s also so worried about and sad for the donor’s family. Also, please pray for Ethan’s family. With COVID restrictions, only 2 people are allowed in the hospital. Obviously, we all WANT to be there, but having a blended family means there are A LOT of family members who cannot be there right now. Ethan’s mom and dad (Sheila and Manuel) are with him, but he has a whole host of other folks who want to be there for him! Please pray for all of those folks too! Also, please pray for the doctors and nurses who will be working on Ethan today. Pray for knowledge and strength and steadiness of hand for all of them. And finally, I’d ask you to all pray for the donor and family. I do not know the circumstances, but pray that the donor and his/her family find peace in knowing that they are saving a life today, a life that this world still needs!
