We continue to wait…

Hello friends and family,

I am severly lacking in the blogging capabilities but when I explain how the year has started, you’ll understand.

The year began with the visit from Jeffrey and Alexa for Christmas and New Year’s. It was a great visit, then we all got ill with Covid. Jeffrey and I were the worst of it. I was very fatigued, like I could not get out of bed, fatigued! Jeffrey was fatigued but was still able to get work done. Alexa and Elizabeth were tired, but that was about it. Ethan was positive, but he never showed any symptoms. Matthew and Jonathan were negative and healthy as could be. I was better after about 2 weeks. It was rough, but I didn’t have any of the respiratory issues or anything else. We were blessed. I was very thankful that Elizabeth was here to help with the meals and the housework.

After we tested negative, I was able to get the boys again for a visit. My poor parents needed a break after that almost 3 weeks of having my Matthew and Jonathan. So I picked the boys up and we had a great reunion for a whole week. Ethan may have a different assessment of how that week went, but I chose to beleive it was a blessed reunion. I sure do miss them so much when we’re apart.

Ethan began cardiac rehab 2 days a week which includes 30 minutes of cardio and then some stretching and light weights. Most days he’s tired, but he makes it through the rehab ok. It’s good for him to get out and be around people. He is expected to go to the gym here at the apartment at least 2 more days each week for a total of 4 or more. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t. I don’t fight it too much. I’m happy with any physical exertion he can manage.

His clinic appointments have been good. He’s very stable and his blood pressure is coming down, thankfully. He is on a 64 oz fluid restriction that he loves so much! Just kidding. He hates it. He whines about it every opportunity he gets. But, it’s been good for him, so I tell him to suck it up and move on. I know, I’m harsh.

So, we had a visit from Jeffrey and Alexa about a week ago. It was great! I do miss my hubby and Alexa, so the visit was a welcome one. We are working on figuring out how to get the whole family under one roof again and we trust that God is working all things for the good. We have a very supportive church family in Cruces and here in Denver. We are so thankful that God is working out details and trust that in His time, a heart will become available. God is good, ALL the time! We praise Him for His goodness and provision and guidance. May God bless you all.
